How do we maintain the health of the Tualatin River Watershed?
Clean Water Services cleans wastewater in highly sophisticated treatment facilities and works to restore aquatic habitat and stream health. But we also control pollution at the source through the programs of our Source Control Division.
The Source Control Division works closely with business and industry to:
- Control pollutants in the stormwater that flows directly to streams and wetlands;
- Control pollutants discharged into the wastewater treatment system;
- Control spills and illicit discharges;
- Promote pollution prevention and recycling.
